About the Art
“Spring Deer” is the second drawing in my four-part series called Seasonal Cervidae (the deer family). I came up with the idea for the first drawing in this series after my honeymoon trip to Montana. The fall trees and wild elk inspired me to combine the two in my piece “Autumn Elk”. I loved the idea so much that I wanted to make a series demonstrating the four seasons using different Cervids and trees. “Spring Deer” is the most recently completed piece in the collection and combines a White-tailed deer with Redbud trees. It took me over 90 hours to create.
